An Easter egg for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs that is conveniently hidden has been revealed by Wish directors Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn. Throughout the narrative, there are multiple references to Disney’s 100th anniversary, which is commemorated in this animated picture. There are references to both more recent endeavours like Zootopia and more traditional masterpieces like Peter Pan.

Speaking with Business Insider, Buck and Veerasunthorn disclosed that one of Wish’s Disney Easter eggs is really Asha’s friends—moreover, it expressly mentions Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The Dwarfs inspired her group of friends, as revealed by the directors, who kept traits from their appearance and characteristics.

Commemorating Disney’s Centennial: 100 Years of Magical Wishes

Wish makes a direct reference to the first feature-length film that Disney created, which is not surprising given that the movie celebrates the company’s 100th anniversary.

Other well-known Disney animated features, including Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, Lilo & Stitch, and Frozen, were made possible by this 1937 masterpiece.

Easter eggs are a big part of the movie, and it’s great to see them recognized in the most recent animated version, which came out before the live-action Snow White remake.

Many more allusions to beloved Disney films can be found throughout Wish, such as Asha’s outfit in Cinderella, which is reminiscent of the Fairy Godmother’s.

There are also references to Bambi and Pinnochio, along with a brief cameo from a Beauty and the Beast character.
For those who have watched every film the firm has made, old and new, a ton of Easter eggs are scattered throughout the movie as a reward.

But, the movie isn’t only entertaining because it includes neat little tidbits from previous movies. The film’s main plot revolves around Asha’s quest to free her realm from Magnifico and allow everyone to fulfil their dreams, no matter how great or small.

Despite Wish’s mixed reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, viewers appear to enjoy the film, which is probably due in part to how well the Easter eggs are woven into the story.
